It may seem difficult for those who live on the top of all technological advances to believe that there exist people who can't even access internet properly.Yes!there are many and they live in different corners of world.And there are some regions who have restricted access on internet.For example,china.Many social networks and all are blocked there.Here is a good news for them all.Even for us also.
A New-york city based company,The Media Development Investment fund(MDIF) is planning to launch an ambitious project.They are planning to launch hundred of miniature satellites called cubesats to outer space which enables every people on earth to access free internet.
Have a look at the present scenario.Then you will come to know about the importance of this project.The price for tablets,smartphones and even laptops are dropping day by day.But a common man cannot afford to have an unlimited internet connection.Access to knowledge and resources is human right.But is that what is going on here.Can an ordinary people access all the resources on web.Outernet makes this possible.They are with a revolutionary idea as their target.That is the reason why the news is so viral.
The outernet works similar to a TV station.Here the cubesats will recieve the data from numerous workstations located on earth.and this data will be provide to the people all around the globe.Their final aim is to provide free unrestricted internet facility to all.
"The Telecom operators are trying to shutdown our project.But we will fight and win."That is what Syed Karim A lead of this project told to Reddit on an Interview.
They are still in their fund raising stage.If everything goes right,We will be able to use this facility from June 2015.That is what they told.It will cross every sensorship.That may be the reason why it got 150,000 visitors to its website on first 3 days and #1 trending topic once on baido,The google equivalent in china.Because they suffer a lot.We all know.
